Dominic Slaven

Dominic began his career as an electrician in the retail sector before progressing into building services engineering, expanding his expertise across HVAC systems, automation, and building management systems. This hands-on foundation has shaped his practical, delivery-focused approach to smart building and energy projects.

Throughout his career, Dominic has led both new-build installations and complex retrofit programmes, with particular strength in deploying smart metering and energy platforms within live, occupied environments where coordination, safety, and minimal disruption are critical.

As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at D3, Dominic oversees engineering, installation, and operational delivery across the business. He leads system design, procurement, contractor management, commissioning, and ongoing client support, ensuring every deployment meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and data integrity.

Dominic’s hands-on leadership and deep understanding of building infrastructure enable D3 to bridge design intent with real-world delivery ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and built for long-term operation across complex real estate portfolios.
